Modern B*a*g Ladies will soon introduce our first Featured Travel Guide, Tricia Waltman.  It is a core belief of Modern B*a*g Ladies that we are more alike than we are different.  Our mission is to provide a platform for women, of all walks of life, to share their stories.  By sharing we connect, inspire and go along our journey with more understanding and willingness to accept and help our fellow sisters.

When we extend our true selves to the world, with the courage to be vulnerable, amazing people and things are free to enter into our lives.  One sister said to me, of women that she meets who live in shelters, “They appreciate the monetary and in-kind donations, but what they really treasure is having the opportunity to sit with other women to share themselves and their story.”  I believe this is gift we can give to all of our sisters.  It is the essence of being the Traveling Sanctuary™.

As time passes you can lose track of trail of connections that lead you to the women you were intended to meet.  These women don’t show up like magic per se, rather it requires that you move out of your comfort lane into the lane that feels exciting and uncomfortable at the same time.  With simultaneous effort and ease, I travel one step at a time.  Stepping forward my, journey crossed with Tricia.  I was meant to share her story.  We honor her courage and openness.
