I am very pleased to announce the pre-launch of Global Local, a collaborative partnership with Kirsten Ford of Focus Design and Dawn Vogel of Luminous Concepts, Global Local harnesses the power of global online shoppers to strengthen local communities.
What We Do
We help non-profit organizations raise funds by incorporating an innovative online tool which aids their supporters to shop at the non-profit’s unique shopping portal for things they need and already use.
Why We Do It
Funding dollars are becoming more competitive and donations of time and money by supporters are also becoming more difficult. At the same time, innovation, collaboration new technologies and creative thinking are on the rise offering new solutions to our social problems and fundraising challenges.
We value community and teamwork and we desire to work with like minded individuals and organizations. Kirsten, Dawn and myself have a strong drive to harness powerful, cutting edge tools, with creative solutions, in support of mission based organizations. Our fundraising shopping tool has the ability to create less donor fatigue and less competition for donor dollars within communities.
The tool we use is Market America’s (MA) Non Profit Program, which leverages all of the above. Market America is, an internet marketing and product brokerage company founded in 1992. In addition to benefiting online shoppers, and providing an option for business owners to generate a secondary income, MA provides an innovative program at no cost for Non-Profit organizations to generate royalties up to $187,000 annually. In short, the program works by converting supporters existing buying habits into purchasing through the nonprofit’s own MA storefront.
How the Tool Works
Shoppers have access to 3,000+ national partner stores, hot deals and earn up to 35% cash back while supporting their non-profit.
Essentially we connect with community nonprofits and teach their supporters how to shop on their shopping portal, which raises money for that nonprofit. As shopping consultants we teach supporters how to use the portal and how to save money. We introduce them to quality products and services that they need.
Some facts about how the MA Non Profit Program works:
- Next steps include scheduling an overview of the MA NPO Program and Fundraising model to appropriate contact person(s) within your organization.
- There is no cost for the non-profit organization
- Your nonprofit will receive a Market America online storefront branded with your name for staff and supporter purchases.
- As a MA business owner,Global Local partners will serve as a pro bono consultant for a specified period of time with appropriate contact person(s) in your organization to create and implement communications, education and outreach plan.
- Purchases made from the NPO online storefront generate weekly and monthly royalties.
- Building 4 new customers a month can yield a realistic $10,000 in year one.
Local brick and mortar merchants can also participate, whether they have an e-commerce online presence or not. Local merchants can leverage the internet by exposing themselves to the global market by becoming a Market America partner store. Local merchants can also register for a program that supports the nonprofits in the same manner without an e-commerce online presence.
Nonprofit Organizations – Establishing a nonprofit with their own shopping portal is straight forward and is at no cost to the organization. Global Local is concentrating on working with organizations in southern Minnesota, eastern Wisconsin and Twin Cities area.
Nonprofit Supporters – Shop online for items you buy today from stores you already shop. Gain access to quality products and hot deals. Save time and money, while supporting your favorite nonprofits.
Entrepreneurs - Global Local is looking for like minded entrepreneurs who are interested in helping nonprofits.
